Executive Management

LAURA P. HELMS, RN, BSN

Agency Director; Director of Nursing: Private-Duty

Hailing from upstate Pennsylvania, Laura received her Nursing degree from Queens University, and also has a Biology degree from UNC-Wilmington.  Prior to founding the agency, Laura enjoyed a variety of work experiences as a RN in pediatric nursing, ortho/post op nursing, home health nursing, and pain management/case management.   Laura's positive attitude, outgoing personality, and strong desire to ensure patient satisfaction is the platform on which Helms Home Care has built its success! When she is not focused on her patients, Laura enjoys running, working out, playing with her two boys, Crue and Teek, and watching sports with her husband!

CHRISTOPHER M. GANT

Agency Administrator; Director of Operations

Chris comes to Helms Home Care with a B.S. in Marketing and Economics from Appalachian State University.  His prior management experience at ScentAir Technologies has helped develop his passion for growing businesses with process based, goal oriented development and excellent customer service.  When he is not working, Chris is spending time with his wife Kelley and sons Harrison & Henry in Fort Mill, SC. Chris enjoys rooting for his favorite teams the Carolina Panthers, St. Louis Cardinals, App. State Mountaineers, and Kansas Jayhawks.  He and his wife are also avid supporters of Autism Speaks and All Play Together Fort Mill, and participate in many charitable opportunities to grow awareness and inclusion for special needs children.

SHARI BLACKMON, RN, BSN

Director of Nursing: Infusion Therapy

Originally from Mt. Holly, Shari is an NC native that came to Helms with 13+ years combined business, finance, and nursing experience. Originally graduating with a business degree in Information Management, Shari worked in finance before pursuing a nursing degree and finding her calling. Shari's diverse business and nursing experience contribute heavily to the overall success of our infusion services. Shari loves to sing, listen to music, and enjoys playing and watching sports with her husband and her two children, Landon and Layla.

Shari is charged with overseeing our Care Coordination team as well as training, management and continuing education for our field staff of 400+ Registered Nurses.
